Jim Askew is the director and owner of your local Griswold Home Care office. Jim watched Griswold Home Care grow over the years and after divesting himself of other business ventures, opened the Griswold Home Care office in Austin, which serves Austin and the surrounding communities. In his spare time, Jim enjoys sailing, fly fishing, and spending time with his family.
Meet his team:
MJ Strickland, Senior Case Manager, grew up in Sulphur Springs, Texas and graduated from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State). Utilizing her passion for elder care, she has been blessed to work with seniors for many years, in a variety of capacities. Philippians 4:13 is a favorite scripture: “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me”.
Erin Pedersen, Case Coordinator/Human Resource Manager, graduated from Abilene Christian University. Upon graduation she moved to Austin where she worked in both retail, where she discovered her love for customer service, and then later in development as a recruiter. Her abilities in serving others and building a quality staff make a great skill set for finding perfect caregivers. Her favorite quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson inspires her at this task: “What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside you”.
Connie Hawkins, Community Development Manager, received her degree in Indiana at Ball State University, home of the Ball Canning Jar! She loves hosting educational events for the nurses, social workers, and senior advisors in our community. She shares information on Griswold Home Care and topics that influence the care of our clients. Remember, Walt Disney said, “Laughter is no enemy to learning”.
The Griswold Home Care Team, serving Austin and The Surrounding Communities, is eager to help individuals and their families receive care whether recovering from an illness or surgery, dealing with a chronic condition, or advancing in age. We will do our best to match the right person to assist you with your senior care or disability care needs.
