Happy Friday from Griswold! As you may know, we’re dedicating this week to our dedicated franchisees and their inspiring stories. The spotlight now shines on Bobby Crider, the Care Director of the Columbus, Bloomington and South Indy, IN franchise.
Last Saturday, May 12, Bobby and his wife Stacy walked for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Out of the Darkness (OOTD) Campus Walk for Columbus, IN. This fundraiser raises awareness for suicide prevention and money to help fund AFSP’s annual budget. Services provided by the AFSP include counseling, crisis hotlines, etc. They are also at the forefront of suicide education, research and prevention.
Bobby and Stacy will be walking as part of the Johnnie Walkers team to commemorate Stacy’s best friend Kisha’s father, Johnnie Simpson, who took his own life in the summer of 2008. Kisha was able to channel this tragedy into some positive energy by organizing the fist OOTD walk in Columbus last year. That walk was an amazing success and ranked 3rd in the nation!
But here’s some excellent news to go along with the Criders’ compassion and ambition: you can still support their cause! To do so, head to Bobby’s donor page or Stacy’s donor page! Every little bit helps — sometimes, it’s the short steps and small subsidies that make the biggest difference.
Thank you, Bobby and Stacy, for the incredible things you’re doing for your community and both the home care industry and suicide prevention. You both are shining examples of Griswold’s spirit and the passion for compassion that sets it in motion.
