Quality, Non-Medical In-Home Care In Your Community
Hello, I am Anne Seglem, independent owner and operator of your local Griswold Home Care office of Colorado Springs and Douglas County. I am a Registered Nurse and Certified Senior Advisor. My husband, Mark is a distinguished 20 year Navy veteran and I also have extended family who has served. My husband and I have also been lifelong volunteers in our community.
I think it is important to share why I got involved in non-medical home care. My background as a nurse was in critical care. I saw the need for non-medical in-home care when I worked in hospitals and I saw how basic needs were not met and many times there was no family in town. By owning my own Griswold Home Care franchise, it has allowed me to get to know my clients very well and refer caregivers to help more people in my community. I or my Case Coordinators periodically visit our clients to see if their needs have changed, and if they are happy with the referral we have made to them. I love working with my clients and seeing them happy and enjoying their independence as much as possible. Furthermore, Griswold’s values reflect what I as a nurse would demand from a home care company for my own family’s care. Plus, we have an especially strong commitment to our veterans!
Griswold Home Care has been a leader in the non-medical home care industry for over 32 years. We are proud to join the tradition by referring caregivers who can provide non-medical home care to our Coloradan neighbors.
“Anne’s team is caring, attentive, knowledgeable, and consistently go beyond what you would expect someone to do or provide. Even though my mom is now in assisted living, Anne continues to stop by and see how she is doing. I cannot recommend her or her agency highly enough.”
“I was looking for a professional service to help me with my mother in her home care. I went to caring.com and that’s where I initially came across Griswold. I considered two other agencies but it seems that they would promise you everything but they just wanted the money. I didn’t feel the same way with Griswold. I felt like they generally were interested in helping me and listening all my concerns about my mother.
I like the way that they screened the caregivers they provided. There’s stability in the care that my mother was receiving. They were thoughtful about my concerns and what might be my mother’s concerns. They also made a practice of coming out to see how the caregivers were doing which I thought is good. It shows that they are professional and they’re interested in keeping a standard for their business.
They also came to see my mother when she was in a hospital. When she eventually get into long term care, they came and drop by and brought her a little treat. They’re nice and quality people. I would use them again.”
