Quality, Affordable In-Home Care In Your Community
Hi, I am Jennifer Palmer, owner and operator of your local Griswold Home Care office. I live in Denver, CO with my husband, Mick, and 11-year-old twin girls, Elaine and Kate.
In the midst of a successful career as an attorney, I became the primary caregiver for my mother during the last months of her life before she passed away from complications of cancer. I also help to manage my father’s care, who is struggling with Alzheimer’s and has a live-in caregiver to assist with his needs when he cannot be in Denver with us.
The combination of these events led me to swap my litigation career and get involved with an elder care company with a proven track record. Today, my mission is to help people like myself—adult children with elderly parents—by providing their loved ones the best care in the industry at the best price.
Throughout my entire professional career, I have always enjoyed networking and being involved in my community. I truly enjoy mentoring my staff and getting out every day to meet people who I can help.
I received my B.A. in English and Political Science at Syracuse University and went on to obtain my Juris Doctorate at Albany Law School. Most recently, I was a partner at a mid-size Denver law firm. My practice focused on health care, senior care facilities and insurance.
When I’m not working, I enjoy outdoor activities such as ice skating, cross-country skiing, and hiking; cooking; crafts; road trips and reading. I volunteer at my church’s religious education program and lead my daughters’ girl scout troop. I love playing an active role in my daughters’ lives and taking part in activities that better my local community.
Every year Griswold Home Care’s Non-Profit, the Griswold Cares Foundation, donates grants to community programs that help people age in place comfortably. This year we nominated the Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains and here we are presenting them with a $1000 grant!
The caregivers we refer help create loving environments for their clients. Examples include this birthday celebration where a caregiver made and brought in a cake and this live-in caregiver who brought over a tree and decorations for Sandy, a client who lives in a beautiful basement apartment her son recently renovated for them.
