Local Community in Tampa, Florida

tampa-scanio-150x150Griswold Home Care of Tampa is very involved in the greater community. Hillsborough County is home to over 1.2 million people and we enjoy a diverse and exciting community. We refer caregivers who are located throughout the county, providing access to quick placement from 75 to Temple Terrace/USF to Carrollwood to Westchase/Town and Country (East to West) and from Brandon/South Tampa to New Tampa/Lutz/Odessa (South to North).

Our focus area has 8 acute care hospitals, more than 20 skilled nursing/rehab facilities and over 50 assisted living facilities. The area is also home to some of the best geriatric care managers and elder care attorneys in the country. We have an extensive professional network that we keep in touch with monthly. Whether you are looking for references about additional services or senior care referral services from us, we are in position to refer you to local resources for complimentary services.

Hillsborough County has support groups for most chronic illnesses, including Alzheimer’s, MS, ALS, and Parkinson’s. We have facilitated a general Caregiver’s Support Group for the Westchase area (western Hillsborough County) in the past and visit other support groups periodically to pick up best practices or lead discussions.

For professionals looking for opportunities to learn more about senior issues and how they can better serve Hillsborough’s senior population we recommend joining Better Living for Seniors Hillsborough where we are the Chairperson for 2016-2017. For neighborhood association leaders concerned about senior safety or wanting to know more about senior resources we recommend the SALT Council (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together).
