Home Care Resources in Union County, NJ

The Union County community offers a huge variety of activities, social events, and support for seniors, adults with disabilities, and retirees. Our caregivers are there to help people remain living in their own homes, but that certainly doesn’t mean you have to stay at home!

Griswold Home Care care coordinators are very knowledgeable about activities in our area. We are happy to provide transportation and assistance to those wishing to visit the our parks, your local Y classes, the gym, museums, a weekly bingo game, religious services, classes for seniors at the community college, and many other adventures and outings Union County has to offer.

For those wishing to stay home, or who are unable to go out, our Caregivers are happy to facilitate and encourage activities at home such as gardening, games, bingo, scrap booking, journaling, movie nights, and the like.

We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to Mobile Meals of Westfield to further its efforts to provide home-delivered meals to people living in Union County who are unable to shop for and prepare food for themselves. In addition to preparing and delivering these meals, the organization’s team of volunteers often provide companionship for their clients – one of the most important aspects of Mobile Meals’ program.
