Norm and Patricia Potter have a strong belief in the importance of core family values. These values hold true in how they have raised their 3 children. Service to each other, family, friends, church and community is at the core of their values. The Potter family is honored to have served and supported many in their family and community through various difficulties including health related issues. Caring for aging parents and grandparents is a privilege shared by the entire family. Through their professional careers, church, community and volunteer involvement, Norm and Patricia developed a strong appreciation for the growing challenges facing an aging population. Quality of life and independence are important as we age. Being able to transition successfully home after an extended illness or continue living where and how we want is important to each of us.
Over the last several years, Norm and Patricia began thinking about what type of business might allow their family the opportunity to blend a passion for service with a growing need in their community. In 2013, they acquired the Griswold Home Care of Winston-Salem. A thorough review of the Griswold business model and core values convinced the Potter family that this was the right thing to do. Being able to help someone’s family member maintain their quality of life, live independently and safely backed by the oldest in-home care company in the country has become an exciting endeavor for the family!
As a family business serving your family, Norm and Patricia are joined by their daughter, Meredith, as Associate Director. In June, 2014 their son James joined the business upon graduation from Appalachian State University. Their youngest son, Stephen, is already helping as an intern during his senior year of high school. The Potter family looks forward to serving families in the following counties: Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Yadkin, Iredell, Randolph and Rowan.
