Griswold Home Care of Baton Rouge is a referral service who takes a unique and innovative approach to home care. Griswold matches you with a fully screened, independent professional caregiver based on your preferences. Griswold Home Care does not have licensure through DHH, but does carry all state business licensure and insurance for the registry model. Griswold Home Care refers client-specific professional caregivers that empowers you to self-manage your own home care arrangement. The office thoroughly screens all caregivers before they are eligible for referral to you. The screening includes a 17-point process including criminal background check, references, and a personal interview.

This office is a locally-owned and operated caregiver referral service. We offer referrals of professional, screened, quality caregivers who can provide affordable in-home care in the Baton Rouge region.

The Griswold Home Care family has been referring caregivers for over 30 years, and we understand the difficult decisions that surround the care of the aging or disabled. Hunter and Rachel Dale – Owners

Griswold Home Care of Baton Rouge is independently owned by Hunter and Rachel Dale. Drawn to the home care industry through seeing first-hand the positive effects home care offered for their own family, Hunter and Rachel are dedicated to providing families of southern Louisiana a service that will allow seniors, as well as adults with physical and mental disabilities, to maintain the dignity, independence, safety, and peace of mind that they deserve. Hunter and Rachel live in Baton Rouge with their one-year old daughter, Caroline. They are both actively involved in many aspects of the business.

Christie Dornier, RN, BSN – Executive Director

As our Director, Christie brings over 18 years of nursing, business operations, sales, and marketing experience to the team. Christie is responsible for all day to day operations of the business. She leads by example and guides our team in an energetic and encouraging way. Every Monday morning, Christie starts our week with a positive thought or quote. Though her responsibilities are vast, she always sets aside the time to listen to and love on our clients and our entire team.

Brook Kitto – Client Support Specialist

Brook’s passion for helping the sick and disabled started when she was in high school, where she worked as a Hospice Volunteer. While studying at Louisiana State University, Brook continued working as a Home Care Aid to a home-bound patient. Upon graduation from LSU, Brook spent a summer in New York City working for the Little Sisters of the Poor as a Hospitality Aid to the residents and Sisters at the facility. Upon her return home to Baton Rouge, Brook became a Certified Dementia Practitioner while working at a local memory care facility. Brook’s journey and experience in the industry give her the knowledge to help our clients navigate their journey of in-home care options in a compassionate and understanding way.

Daniel Penn – Client Support Specialist

Daniel has worked in the industry for many years as a former Director and Care Provider. His experiences make him relatable and help in cultivating great relationships with the caregivers that we refer to our clients. Daniel is able to anticipate the needs of the clients and the challenges that the caregivers face. His kind and calm voice brings comfort to the caregivers, clients, and to everyone in the office. His favorite quote to end a Griswold Home Care meeting is, “Go team, go!”

Jessica Lieux – Client Support Specialist

Jessica is responsible for offering support to our clients and their families. She takes a thoughtful approach when referring caregivers who provide a high level of non-medical home care for our clients. Jessica has been helping with her grandmother’s care needs over the past 2 years and her personal experience allows her to better understand what our families need. Jessica is a graduate of Mississippi State University, and her Southern accent makes you feel like you are sitting in your grandma’s kitchen.

Suzann Cannon – Client Support Specialist

Suzann’s story is unique in that she used Griswold to refer caregivers for her own mother for almost 2 years. After realizing what amazing care her mother received, and the support it gave Suzann, she decided that she wanted to help others in her same situation. Suzann has over 30 years of experience in the medical field as an LPN and Medical Assistant. Her industry knowledge allows her to refer caregivers who enhance the quality of life for those who wish to continue living independently, and she is dedicated to serving the families in our community. Suzann has a love for people and a helping heart — those qualities are evident in all that she does for our clients.

Tara is excited and passionate about spreading the word that Griswold Home Care can offer a safe way for people to stay in the comfort of their own homes. Tara never meets a stranger, and she is such a great resource to our community.
