I’m Kirby Detmers, and my staff and I have run the Griswold Home Care of Berkshire County home care agency in Western Massachusetts since 2002. We bring over 50 years of experience in the non-medical home care field to our clients.
Being a caregiver is not just any job; it takes a special kind of person who has both the capability and the spirit to provide emotional and physical support to our clients. It also takes a knowledgeable, flexible office staff to be able to answer questions and work closely with clients and their families. Our caregivers can provide as little as 2 hours per week of simple companionship to help give a family caregiver some respite, right up to the intensive level of live-in care for a hospice client.
Our home care team at Griswold Home Care of Berkshire County is second to none. From the first call from a client or family member who has questions about home care, we are there to provide quick, accurate needs assessment at your convenience. To join this elite home care team, our caregivers must go through a rigorous screening process that requires phone screens, personal and professional references, and criminal background checks. Once we’ve sent a caregiver to you, we maintain contact with you and the caregiver through home visits and phone calls to make sure you’re satisfied.
Our caregivers can provide a variety of care options ranging from simple companionship care for a few hours up to overnight, live in care. Our home care services can include activities like meal preparation, housekeeping, running errands, and bathing and dressing assistance to name a few.
