Griswold Home Care Announces Caregiver Resource : In Honor of National Caregiver Day 2018, February 16th

In 2017, we came up with an idea for a website that was entirely dedicated to caregivers, whether they are just starting or have years of experience. We started off with a few pages of resources for employed and contracted caregivers. Our focus was on professional caregivers, but it needed to be more than that.

Caregiver Resource was born from that idea. The site includes resources for family and professional caregivers and helps people who want to explore caregiving as a profession. In honor of National Caregiver Day, we are launching the site with basic information on who caregivers are, what they do, why they do it, and how you can become a caregiver. We will continue to add content to this site as we discover more information and better solutions to problems that caregivers have.

The site will be home to Ask Allegra, a blog led by our award-winning 35th anniversary caregiver, Allegra Chaney. Allegra was brought on by our founder, Jean Griswold, when the company was founded in 1982. For over 35 years, Allegra has provided compassionate care at the highest level to seniors in the Philadelphia area. She will share advice and information on all things caregiving. The blog will be a resource for all caregivers and a place that they can go to find support and a sense of community.

While we continue to add more information to the rest of the site, Allegra will publish new content every Wednesday on Ask Allegra. If you have any questions about caregiving, please send them to askallegra@caregiverresource.com. There’s a good chance that many other people are facing the same struggles as you and need the same answers. Allegra might provide those answers in a blog post!

If you think someone could benefits from Allegra’s advice or anything else on the site, please share it with them. You can help us get the caregivers of our country the assistance they need.
