Some members of our home care team have called the Cape May Atlantic county area their home for life, others like my self have called it home for twenty years. What we all have in common is a love for the shore and all it has to offer. Our home care clients share the same background; while many have lived here for 90 plus years, all their lives, others have retired here after spending wonderful and joyous summers at the beach. Whatever the background, we want to help keep the feeling, spirit and memories of the shore going. Our professional caregivers can do more than assist with personal care, home making and in home care.
We like to encourage our clients that can get out to do so. If you miss the ocean, let one of our great caregivers take you for a trip over the inlet bridges from Atlantic City to Cape May. A personal favorite of mine is watching the sunrise while traversing the Longport Ocean City bridge. Has it been too long since you enjoyed a meal at the Lobster House down in Cape May? Do you want to have another shot at the slots and try to get some cash back from Mr. Trump? Give us a call and let us help. We are there for you.
We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to Ocean City Ecumenical Council to further its efforts to collect and provide food and clothes for low-income residents and families throughout Ocean City. The organization is comprised of approximately 200 volunteers who operate their various programs and services, including the Clothes Closet, Ocean City Community Food Cupboard and its annual Outreach Program during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
