Overnight Care Services
Caregivers Who Are Always There for Your Family
We refer professional caregivers who can be there for you when you need them, even if those needs include overnight assistance. During your phone consultation with our office staff, we will discuss your needs and the kind of care you are looking for. Next, we will visit your home to do a needs assessment and make recommendations on the type of caregiver to best provide for you or your loved one. In some cases, we may recommend more extensive, around-the-clock care to ensure that you or your loved one is always cared for, safe and secure. Overnight care is an option professional caregivers offer seniors and adults with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities who require more involved care during traditional sleeping hours.
What Is Overnight Care?
Overnight care is about knowing someone is there to help if a loved one needs fluids, snacks, or help using the restroom during the overnight hours. It’s the perfect solution for people who have trouble sleeping through the night or wake up disoriented and in need of assistance.
With overnight care, a caregiver will typically start their onsight shift a few hours before bedtime to help your loved one settle in for the night, remain awake during the traditional sleeping hours in case your loved one wakes up and needs help and finally provides assistance in the morning to get your loved ones day started. In addition to providing homemaking and companionship services, overnight caregivers can provide several personal care services, including:
- Oral care
- General hygiene
- Perineal care
- Changing adult briefs
- Repositioning if bed-bound
- Supporting physical therapy exercise
- Restroom assistance
