What Do Caregivers Do?

As a non-medical caregiver, you would support clients with Activities of Daily Living, sometimes known as ‘ADLs.’ ADLs are the activities people do every day, such as dressing, eating, and bathing. You might also bring and accompany a client to appointments, help prepare meals, remind them to take medication, or do laundry. Depending on your training and experience, you may perform other services for clients with physical disabilities or conditions like Alzheimer’s or ALS.
