We pride ourselves on being involved in the larger Essex County community. Although we provide services that allow our clients to remain comfortably in their own homes, we also place a large emphasis on encouraging clients to explore their surrounding communities.
This past July, our office held its first open house celebrating our 30th Anniversary, where members of the community, clients, referral sources and caregivers gathered to meet each other and stay up to date on what’s happening in Essex County.
We play an active role in bettering the lives of those around us. The Essex County Director is a member of the South Orange Rotary Club and has participated in charity events that provided school supplies for the interfaith hospitality network. We also participate in local health fairs and local charity events.
Our team of professional caregivers have experience caring for seniors with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and those in Hospice, just to name a few. Caregivers can also accompany clients to a variety of local events and activities. These include classes at the local YMCA or the JCC which allow seniors to interact and socialize with their friends and other members of their community. Caregivers can also provide transportation/accompaniment to religious services, social outings, family visits, doctor appointments, hair appointments, trips to the local museum and other activities.
We are honored to present a Jean Griswold Foundation grant to JESPY House to help support their Entrepreneurship program. The grant will help to create employment opportunities for their clients of differing skills.
