Griswold Home Care of Garland, Texas is dedicated to referring caregivers to our clients to live everyday life to the fullest potential. Our dedicated home care referral team is able to help you find a caregiver who can accompany you to visit family members in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, to go to senior centers for exercise classes, or to go to community events for social activities.
Other places caregivers may help seniors enjoy include the Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Arts District, Downtown Museums, many of the metro symphonies, church groups, spas, theaters, and many other adventures and outings the Dallas area has to offer.
For those who prefer to stay home or are unable to go out, caregivers are more than happy to help with activities like gardening, playing games, scrapbooking, and baking!
We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to Faith Presbyterian Hospice to support the organization’s Faith Caring Fund, which funds special therapy programs, including pet therapy, massage therapy, and its children’s bereavement program. Faith Presbyterian Hospice provides a wide range of hospice and palliative services to patients living in the Dallas area and their families, including in-home nursing care, customized care plans, holistic therapy programs, and caregiver support services.
