Lancaster County offers a very beautiful setting in which to enjoy a wide variety of activities. Even though our specialty is keeping you independent in your own home, with help from a referred caregiver you could be able to venture out and take part in all of your favorite events. We refer caregivers who can provide the transportation and the assistance needed during your travels and errands around your community. Whether it’s shopping, senior community centers, museums, your church or any other destination you wish to explore. However if you’d rather stay at home, a referred caregiver can also assist you with gardening, hobbies, games or any other activity.
We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to Meals on Wheels of Lancaster County to help the nonprofit continue to fight food insecurity in the Lancaster, Leola, New Holland, Parkesburg, Gap, Terre Hill, Atglen and Christiana areas. Meals on Wheels of Lancaster County prepares and delivers thousands of ready-to-eat meals to residents with mental or physical handicaps, seniors living alone and people recovering from illnesses or injuries.
