April and May Events for Seniors in Lehigh Valley, Pa

Spring weather will be here soon! Getting out and being active in your community is important, and there is plenty for seniors and their caregivers to do in our area.

Our caregivers can go with you to any of these events, as we provide home care services in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and Emmaus, PA.

Allentown, PA Poetry Night

Are you a poet? Do you enjoy listening to people present their poetry? You can listen to Justice Davis, Corey Riotz, and others or even participate yourself at Poetry Night: The Beauty in the Pain at Promise Neighborhood of the Lehigh Valley. The event is on Thursday, April 26th from 6pm to 8pm. Admission is free and there will be free food provided.

Bethlehem, PA Royal High Tea

The Historic Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA is hosting a Royal High Tea event on Saturday, May 5th from 2pm to 4pm. “…enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the age-old traditions of Afternoon Tea, filled the beautiful sounds of harpist Joanna Mell.” Beverages, finger sandwiches, and assorted tarts and scones will be provided. Tickets are $30. This is a great event to bring the grandkids or some friends to!

Easton, PA Jazz

Andy Laties will be performing a Free Jazz Concert at Book & Puppet Company on Thursday, April 5th in Easton, PA from 7pm to 8pm. “Book & Puppet is a family-owned book and gift store and puppet theater…Our store in downtown Easton PA is jam-packed with children’s books, graphic novels, puppets, art supplies, games, musical toys, cards and stationery, discount books, and hilarious novelties that will keep you laughing…”

Emmaus, PA Public Library

Your public library is a great place to bring the grandkids for story time or to participate in community events. The Emmaus Public Library offers regular story times and book groups as well as seasonal events.

For the whole month of April, they are holding a digital NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) event for anyone who wants to write. It’s not just for novels either. You can write poetry, short stories, or a screenplay as well!
