With the summer months now here, there are even more opportunities to get out and get involved in our community. Our office can assist you or a loved one at any of these events, as we provide home care services in Bethlehem and Allentown, PA.
Here are a few examples, starting with one of our own initiatives:
Fan and Pet Food Drive – Bethlehem, PA
We have teamed up with Meals on Wheels for a fan drive. Too often, seniors in our community live in homes with no air conditioning devices. This is a way to help provide some relief through the hot months. We will be collecting new fans through the end of June.
We have also partnered with Meals on Wheels to do a pet food drive. Meals on Wheels found that many of its clients were saving part of their meal to share with their pet. In an effort to ensure that the clients are enjoying their entire meal, Meals on Wheels is delivering their pets food as well.
We are collecting pet food for Meals on Wheels to help make sure our clients are getting a full, well-balanced meal. And we are giving them peace of mind that their pet is too. We are accepting donations until June 15th.
Fans and pet food donations can be delivered to the office at 83 S. Commerce Way, Suite 300, Bethlehem, PA.
Creative Inspirations – Allentown, PA
“What motivates and inspires you to keep writing, keep drawing, keep crafting? Share with us one of your favorite creative pieces and why it inspires you. We’ll discuss ways to stay motivated, inspirational tips and advice, and share our creative passions. Great motivational gathering for artists, writers, cosplayers, entertainers, innovators, handcrafters, and makers. Includes snack, drinks, and raffle drawing.”
This event is on June 22nd from 6pm to 8pm at the Velocity Building at 532 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA. Click here to register!
WDIY’s 3rd Annual Homebrew Fest – Bethlehem, PA
Take part in the 3rd Annual Homebrew Fest at The Charles A. Brown Ice House in Bethlehem on June 23rd from 2pm to 5pm for “an afternoon of beer tasting featuring over 40 handcrafted beers from the Lehigh Valley’s best homebrewers, all in support of Lehigh Valley Public Radio.”
Food and refreshments will be provided by Deja Brew, and WDIY will be providing music at the event.
“This is your opportunity to sample some of the Lehigh Valley’s best homebrews under one roof. And don’t forget to vote for your favorite beers when you’re here. We want to know which beers you liked best.”
We hope that you participate in these events! We would greatly appreciate it if you donated to the Meals on Wheels drives that we are running as well. The Lehigh Valley office of Griswold Home Care is here to help, whether it’s through our services or helping the community.
