A family operation that brings together two generations, Griswold Home Care of Manatee County is owned by Wil Vigil, his wife Laura, and their son Nate. Together, they’re responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Manatee County branch.
Following his early retirement after working in sales and management positions for IBM, Wil wanted to find a way to put his experience to good use and to be of benefit to his community. Strong in their faith, Wil and Laura prayed and researched new career paths that could help positively make a difference. Inspiration struck when they learned about Jean Griswold and her inspiring story that lead her to found Griswold Home Care. Wil and Laura knew they’d found the right match.
Griswold Home Care’s message resonated strongly with Wil and his family. Previously, Wil had cared for four of his grandparents – each with varying stages of dementia. He remembered how difficult it was for his family to find the right information and options to care for each of them.
In his current duties as head of the Griswold Home Care Manatee County location, Wil draws upon his experience caring for family members and uses it to help others find the right care options for their loved ones. In addition to his personal experience, Wil has dedicated years of service as a volunteer as a Disaster Recovery and Shelter Manager for the American Red Cross. He is also a member of the Alzheimer’s Association and the Jewish Federation.
For over 20 years, Wil Vigil has worked with various social justice programs. He and his family are active in numerous programs devoted to young people, seniors, families, and orphans.
Wil and his family are looking forward to speaking with you about your loved ones’ home care needs and more.
