Home Care Jobs in Medina, Wayne, and Stark County, OH

Our Caregivers have a passion for care. They have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life every single day. Hear their stories and learn how you, too, can have a rewarding job with Griswold Home Care.

What Does a Caregiver Do?

Non-medical in-home caregivers generally support clients with ‘ADLs.’ ADLs are the activities you perform every day, such as bathing and getting dressed. Caregivers may also transport and accompany clients to doctors’ appointments or to social or family events, run errands for them, do laundry, or prepare meals. They may help a client eat or use the restroom if the client has difficulty with motor skills. Depending on a caregiver’s training and experience, some may assist clients with physical or mental conditions like ALS or Alzheimer’s with different exercises as prescribed by a doctor or therapist. Sometimes a caregiver may simply provide companionship for a client who lives in a facility or is in the hospital.
