A Licensed Home Services Placement Agency
Meet Don Pierce, owner and operator of your local Griswold Home Care office. Don and his wife, Michelle, have five children and four grandchildren. Their son, Adam, ran a nutritional supplement business, which worked primarily with health care providers; he now helps to operate the family owned Griswold Home Care business. Don is a proud United States Military Veteran and enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and fishing, when he isn’t working.
Prior to joining the Griswold Home care franchise family, most of Don’s professional experience was as an executive within the clothing industry. He spent nearly 30 years working in sales and sales management roles, where his prime focus was building long-term relationships. He also worked for a nationally acclaimed outplacement firm for over 5 years helping individuals who lost their jobs, through no fault of their own, transition to new career opportunities. This is where he learned the importance of compassion and dignity for each individual in life.
Don has always been personable and enjoyable to talk to. When he was introduced to the non-medical home care industry by a friend who ran a hospice agency, he was immediately drawn to the industry, which would complement his skill set and allow him to do good for his community while growing a successful business. Both Don and Michelle were caregivers for parents and truly understand the stress and time constraints that can be placed on families when caring for a loved one. That is why every caregiver they refer must be someone they would welcome into their own home to care for their loved one.
Don Pierce is a man of high integrity. He is dedicated toward referring caregivers who help his clients maintain their dignity, comfort, safety, independence, well-being and happiness as they age. He is eager to refer caregivers to serve your family’s need for care, and knows that every family and every person has unique and special needs.
Griswold Home Care Offices are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as Home Services Placement Agencies and by the Illinois Department of Labor as Private Employment Agencies. Offices do not set rates for the screened caregivers they refer. As general information, however, Griswold Home Care periodically conducts market surveys in the area that the Office serves to ascertain typical market rates that caregivers charge, and makes that information available to all parties. Only caregivers who have passed Griswold Home Care’s rigorous and proprietary background screening system are eligible for client referrals.
