Your Home-Care Team in Lake County and Cook County, IL

A Licensed Home Services Placement Agency

Hello, I’m Michele Running, Director of your local Griswold Home Care office in Lake and Northeast Cook County, Illinois. Personally, I have been married for over 20 years and have 3 biological daughters, one adopted son, and one adopted daughter. My husband and I have been doing foster care since 1999 and have cared for over 20 foster children ranging in age from 2 weeks to 18 years. Professionally, I spent 10 years as a vocational counselor and medical case manager in the insurance industry before I joined Griswold Home Care. I was drawn to the home care industry after I witnessed the difficulty that my grandmother had arranging affordable and quality elder care when she needed it. I am proud to now work for a company that helps the elderly and disabled members of my community remain safe, independent and well cared for in their homes as they age.

Meet the other members of our office:

Kathy continues to be an advocate for seniors and assist the elderly in her community by organizing outreach programs aimed to enhance the quality of life for nursing home residents. She has volunteered through an interfaith outreach agency to support and provide assistance to low income seniors in the community and for a drop-in center for Homeless adults.

Griswold Home Care Offices are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as Home Services Placement Agencies and by the Illinois Department of Labor as Private Employment Agencies. Offices do not set rates for the screened caregivers they refer. As general information, however, Griswold Home Care periodically conducts market surveys in the area that the Office serves to ascertain typical market rates that caregivers charge, and makes that information available to all parties. Only caregivers who have passed Griswold Home Care’s rigorous and proprietary background screening system are eligible for client referrals.
