Our franchise owners, Scott and Allison Savel, are the founding members of the North and West Valley Coalition on Aging, where we connect industry professionals to provide resources for seniors in here in the valley.

About Our Caregivers

Griswold Home Care employs only qualified, experienced caregivers. Because of this, we find more time to work on adding value to and improving client satisfaction using a wide array of caregiver training courses.

We focus not only on the big details but also the small, yet important details that contribute to the overall big picture when it comes to providing one-on-one care. We take everything into consideration when we assign any caregiver to our clients, including personality traits, background, and more. Our caregivers are the face of our company. We firmly believe that the happier they are, the better they can work to improve our client’s lives and work as a team member, not just another employee.

Simply put, we have a very fundamental approach to how we build relationships with both our clients and their families and our caregivers. This is only part of the reason we pay some of the highest wages in our industry while charging the lowest fees in the region. In an industry where caregivers are often over-worked and under-paid, we strongly believe in taking care of our own, and that’s what makes us so unique. Our Biltmore office consists of a variety of well-connected and industry savvy professionals. From social work, geriatric care management, home care, rehab experience, customer service experience, and more, our awesome team brings an abundance of skills and knowledge and a compassionate outlook when it comes to improving people’s lives. Our goal is to deliver our Griswoldness, and below are the amazing people who share that goal.

Scott & Allison Savel – Owners Prior to purchasing the Griswold Home Care franchise and becoming Certified Senior Advisors, Scott and Allison were franchise consultants. They chose to open their own Griswold franchise because of the company’s values, which are to always improve quality of care and to always treat people well. Making sure that both our clients and our caregivers are well taken care of is priority #1 and afterwards the fruits will follow. This philosophy is what became the deciding factor when choosing the Griswold franchise. Considering they both have extensive experience in the industry, they knew this decision would be a win-win. Allison has worked with seniors dating back to high school, and her knowledge in the industry helped with building our franchise into what it is today. Scott is on the nationwide franchise advisory council for Griswold Home Care. He is also on the board of the Jean Griswold Foundation, which has given over $35,000 in grants that have helped seniors in need.
Thomas Corrigan, MSW, CMC – Director of Operations Thom is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for the Griswold Home Care office. He has over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare arena as a Social Worker and as a Certified Geriatric Care Manager. His passion has always been to work with seniors and adults with disabilities and chronic diseases in areas such as geriatrics, rehabilitation, and hospice. He has advanced training in gerontology, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, mental health, grief counseling, and case management. Thom has also served on the Board of Directors for several public health and aging related organizations—all who provide support and give back to the community. He also consults with attorneys, wealth managers, and many other professionals—providing life care planning for seniors and adults with special needs. As a well-connected navigator in the healthcare industry, he provides advocacy through collaboration with our industry partners.
Dustin Jackson – Director of Client Services Dustin started his career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Tampa, Florida. In 2012, Dustin moved to Arizona, where he pursued a career in home care as a scheduler, and since then he’s continued to climb the ladder, where he now leads a team of over 100 employees at numerous levels. Now, with over 8 years of experience ranging from assisted living, rehab, home care, skilled nursing, and business operations, he brings a wide array of knowledge and expertise to our company. Dustin’s hands-on experience working with seniors has been instrumental in building our company into what it is today. He is the point-person who conducts our free in-home assessments and much more. Dustin’s creative approach and eye for quality, detail, and innovation is what makes Griswold Home Care a premier trend-setter here in Arizona.
Jerry Kaster – Director of Business Development Jerry Kaster has over 30 years of experience in a variety of industries including OTC medications, prescription pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and for the past 5 years, senior care. Currently, Jerry works as the Director of Business Development for Griswold Home Care. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Phoenix Philanthropists and on steering committees of several nonprofit organizations. Jerry works to secure connections and forge relationships between Griswold and our large network of industry partners. His hands-on approach and involvement in the community has been instrumental in helping our company grow and deliver good care—all while being a resource to people in the valley.
