Hello! I am David Rosen, a native born Philadelphian, RN and Executive Director of Griswold Home of Center City Philadelphia, PA. My wife, Terri, and I became passionate about the home care business when my own grandmother needed home care. We watched her journey for over 20 years with non-medical in-home care and thought with our gift mix and passion, we would be honored to help others age in place in their home. 12 years later, Terri and I have four Griswold Home Care offices and love what we do!
As an RN for over 25 years, my background has been in geriatric and psychiatric nursing care, with experience working in facilities and in-home settings. I also served as the Primary Care Director of a private addiction recovery center in Vermont. Terri’s background is in business management and customer service. Terri has a heart-to-heart approach with families and is passionate about “care pairing” clients and caregivers.
Our local office in Center City Philadelphia has been serving this community for over 30 years. And our outstanding staff has achieved a reputation for compassion, kindness, professionalism and extraordinary customer care. The Griswold Golden Rule is that we only hire caregivers we would trust in our own homes! Our caregiver screening process is truly one of the most rigorous in the industry to ensure that our clients are safe, well taken care of, and that our caregivers provide the best home care possible. That’s one of the reasons why 95% of our clients are personally referred to our office! If you live in the Philadelphia County area and are looking for senior care, disability care, live-in care, or care for conditions like ALS, MS, Alzheimer’s disease, CHF, COPD, and cancer, contact our office and speak with any of our team members, who have superior knowledge and expertise and would be honored to walk you through your home care journey.
If you need companionship, meal prep, personal care, overnight care or live-in care we are here to serve you. We are blessed to be part of the Griswold Home Care family, and we look forward to helping your family today.

In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
