Home Care Resources in Plano, TX
At Griswold Home Care of Plano, one of our goals is to provide caregivers who can help seniors continue to live in the home they love – but this does not mean they have to stay at home all day! We encourage our clients to stay active and involved in the community. Within the limitations of your loved one’s condition, our caregivers can chaperone seniors to various community events or activities outside of the home. And for those wishing to stay at home, or who are not able to travel, caregivers are happy to facilitate activities such as games, bingo, movie nights, scrapbooking, etc.
We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to Faith Presbyterian Hospice to support the organization’s Faith Caring Fund, which funds special therapy programs, including pet therapy, massage therapy, and its children’s bereavement program. Faith Presbyterian Hospice provides a wide range of hospice and palliative services to patients living in the Dallas area and their families, including in-home nursing care, customized care plans, holistic therapy programs, and caregiver support services.

“As the holiday season quickly approaches, many will struggle with increased feelings of loneliness – especially seniors, who spend more time alone than the average adult. This season, we encourage you to join our efforts by checking on your aging loved ones often.”
