Mark and Michelle Moore are the owners and operators of Griswold Home Care for the Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, and Clayton areas. Both have personal experience caring for a disabled and ailing parent and know the peace of mind that comes from a dependable caregiver. Mark developed his passion for senior care and disability care as a deacon in his local church, where he often visited hospitals and home-bound members of the congregation.

Mark and Michelle believe that the most essential element in a caregiver is having a caring heart to serve. Together, they personally select their caregivers through an extensive screening process including background checks, reference checks, and behavioral pattern questioning.

Mark Moore is a North Carolina native from “Little Washington” and has resided in Raleigh for over 30 years. Mark and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 23 years and have two wonderful children, Weston and Brynn, and one wonderful family canine, Rudy. Mark is very active at Trinity Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and high school basketball coach. Part of his deacon duties involved spending time with seniors, where he witnessed the need for assistance and interaction for seniors at home. He learned how each one of them has a great story and lots of wisdom to share. “I learn something each day from our clients; life is short, struggles come and go, and we all deserve and yearn for dignity and love. I’m very grateful to be at Griswold Home Care, touching lives and being positively affected every day.”

Mark and Michelle are the owners of Griswold Home Care, and Mark also serves as the Executive Director. Mark makes it a priority to meet with all families they serve at the start of care. He believes that establishing a relationship with all families is a key component of providing exceptional care and service.

Sherie Kemp-Bruce, RN is our Griswold Home Care registered nurse. Sherie graduated from Purdue University and has 30+ years of experience as an RN in varied fields of nursing. She has had a variety of opportunities in her work history, including Director of Nursing of a psychiatric hospital and Director of Nursing in nursing homes. She developed and is President of her own consulting business, Nurse Angel Consulting, Inc., working with lawyers as a medical legal expert, and has been teaching nurse aide classes for over 10 years. She recently was the coordinator for occupational healthcare for Vance-Granville Community College. Sherie is married and is the mother of four beautiful daughters. She attends Wake Forest Presbyterian Church, where she and her husband are charter members. “I feel blessed to have the opportunity to care for the needs of so many in the Griswold family.”

You will meet Sherie at the start of care as she completes an initial assessment. Sherie revisits the home quarterly to modify the care plan as needed.

Michelle Moore was born in Sanford, North Carolina and is a proud Meredith Angel. Michelle has lived in Raleigh for over 30 years and is the engaged mother of Brynn and Weston, who are both in college. Michelle has always been involved in health and fitness and continues to encourage herself and those around her to be all they can be. Having lost her father in her teen years and her mother 15 years ago, she knows the struggles that come with caring for a loved one. She actively listens to families to help resolve their needs and bring them the peace of mind she wanted when caring for her mom. When Michelle isn’t helping families with care, she can be found leading fitness classes, nurturing the friendships she’s been blessed with, or spending time with her husband and children.

Michelle serves as the Care Manager at Griswold Home Care. She spends a great deal of her time on the phone with family members listening to the challenges, needs, and requests so we can best meet the expectations of those in need.
