Home Care Resources in Scarsdale and Yonkers, NY
Home care doesn’t mean you have to stay at home.
Social interaction is of paramount importance to all of us. Fortunately, Westchester County, NY offers an extraordinary variety of quality activities and social events, which appeal to seniors and support adults with disabilities.
Many are found at www.westchestergov.com
For example, the Westchester County Center offers live stage performances, exhibits and shows nearly every weekend. There are over 50 museums in Westchester, including the Plilipse Manor Hall, the Neuberger Art Museum and the Hudson River Museum. Every community has a library, some quite spectacular.
When the weather is nice, consider a visit to any of the myriad of parks and outdoor recreation facilities. These include Caramoor, the Bronx Zoo, the Botanical Gardens and, if you’re up for it, maybe even a visit to “The House That Ruth Built,” my personal favorite.
Our caregivers are also happy to facilitate and participate in activities at your home, such as gardening, games and movie nights with friends.
Activities within the community are a sure path to better health and wellness.
