Here at the St. Petersburg-Pinellas office of Griswold Home Care we understand that families often come to us knowing they need assistance but are unsure who to trust or where to seek the best help for themselves, their mom, dad, or another loved member of the family. Frequently, families seek help after a fall or other adverse health event, or when they have come to realize that in order to remain safe and independent at home, another set of helping hands and caring heart are needed. We have helped thousand of families since we started in 1992. We understand what matters most to those in need of care:

Consistency: Once your family has formed a relationship with a caregiver you trust we do not replace or reschedule that caregiver.

Communication: It’s our job to keep you aware of anything that may be of value to you, and we will communicate all details regarding your referrals. You are free to communicate directly with your caregiver at any time.

Trust: All caregivers we refer have been through an FBI fingerprint background check, licensure and certification verification, reference checks, and most important of all, we only refer them to you if we would trust them with our own family.

Affordability: We strive to be among the most affordable options for care in Pinellas. In addition, the caregivers we refer earn on average 20% more than at the average home care agency.

Integrity: We are a second-generation owned business that has been helping seniors in Pinellas for close to 30 years. Every member of our team has been on the giving or receiving end of the care circle and we are committed to helping families.

“…My first impression of Jen was how MUCH she was genuinely concerned for my Mom and how hard Griswold works to match the caregiver to the client. Jen provided us 2 awesome caregiver choices who made it very hard for my Mom to pick from! Tesha is lovely – inside and out – and I know Mom looks forward to seeing her. She helps Mom without her feeling like she is being diminished – and her follow-up to me is priceless. Living outside FL, my husband and I really appreciate that Griswold is available 24 hours/day if Mom or we need them too! We now enjoy the peace of mind knowing Jen, Tesha, and the Griswold family stand with us caring for and loving Mom too! Thank you all so much! You all truly live and act according to your founder’s principles, and we feel blessed to have you in our lives!” – Maria F

“I love working with Griswold and the staff, especially Jen is who is remarkable. Her communication is superb which is important to me. I feel this is a quality company who truly cares about what they do and provide. When you can reach the owner of a business and they actually want to speak with you because they are interested in how they’re doing that to me says it all. In this day and age this company is superior.” -Gloria C

Meg Mairn Craig & Sue Althof – Our family is dedicated to referring caregivers who will be a caring partner for your family. When I was a little girl my mother Sue provided home care services to elders in our community. I still remember Frannie, one of my mother’s favorite clients, who I would sometimes share rocky road ice cream with while mom took care of chores around her house.

One day my mom saw Jean Griswold on the Today show. She spoke about a different way of referring caregivers to seniors, emphasizing the value of referring quality caregivers at an affordable price.

I feel as though I’ve always been a part of this company – stuffing brochures as a child, answering phones as a teen, and even working as a companion in college. After graduating from the University of South Florida in 2005, I returned to work with my mom. After a few years as a member of the office staff, I became the owner of the St. Petersburg and Pinellas County territories when my mother was ready to retire. She then cared for my grandmother whose health had declined. My Grandma was pleased to spend her last years at home with the help of her dedicated caregivers and our family.

Each side of the care circle brings something unique to the table. My office respects every client and potential client. It remains an honor for me to refer caregivers as my family has done for so many years.

Hi, my name is Rex Craig, Director of Recruitment here at Griswold Home Care (my friends call me Butch). I was born and raised in a small town in Kentucky. I come from a long line of family caregivers – my mother, my father, and my aunt all cared for family members living with dementia in a time when in-home help was not readily accessible. I have witnessed how families pull together to care for loved ones and know now how much help a qualified and compassionate caregiver could have been to us then. Because of my experiences with my family I am dedicated to seeking out the best care partners to offer families peace of mind. I look for care partners whom I would trust with our own family. I take my position here at Griswold Home Care as a calling to help those in need. I work hard to ensure the care partners we work with feel respected and valued.

I’m Lisa Keith, our Director of Community Relations.  I work closely with the health care community here in Pinellas County.  Through marketing and networking, I can find other caring and compassionate companies to work with to help enrich the lives of our clients.

After 4 years of being a stay at home mom to my two beautiful girls, I was inspired by the care that my Nana received from caregivers referred through Griswold Home Care and decided to devote my efforts working for a company that I truly believe in.  It’s very rewarding to match our clients and caregivers based on care needs and experience to make long-lasting relationships.

I’m Michelle Dannenmiller, our Care Coordinator. I am born and raised in St Petersburg, Florida. I earned my Nursing degree in 1991. While working at Griswold Home Care I strive to provide excellent service to our clients by matching them with our superior care partner team.

My name is Ivana and I am the on-call coordinator for the St. Petersburg office of Griswold Homecare. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Political Science. I am Serbo-Croatian, born in Bosnia and raised in Tampa, Florida. I was introduced to Griswold Home Care by my mother who was working as a caregiver for 6 years. I became interested in joining the team because I am very passionate in helping others in need and connecting with families. The love and dedication my mother put into her patients truly inspired me to do the same.

Hi, I’m Shannon MacNeil. As Director of Nursing, I am dedicated to ensuring that you and/or your loved one receive the highest quality of care from our exceptional team of caregivers.  I will work with you to create an individualized care plan as well as oversee the services that are provided by the caregivers.

I have worked as a registered nurse for 28 years in both Canada and the U.S.  I specialize in the care of the older adult especially those with dementia.  I am passionate about healthy aging with a focus on aging in place. I believe in respecting an older adult’s wish to remain independent for as long as possible. Working for Griswold allows me to advocate for those in the community that want to remain and receive care in their own homes.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your family, learning your story, making a connection, and helping you work through the challenges of changing needs.
