Our referral team at Griswold Home Care of Troy, Macomb, MI, refers caregivers who provide excellent in-home-care for the elderly and the disabled. We know seniors and adults with disabilities feel safer remaining in their homes and we want them to feel comfortable leaving their homes when they choose. While the caregivers we refer provide experienced in home care, they can also provide transportation/accompaniment for errands, doctor visits or events sponsored by their communities or with their families.
We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to Interfaith Volunteer Caregiving Services to further its services, which include transportation, minor home repairs, light housekeeping, companionship, and respite care. Interfaith matches volunteers with elderly or disabled residents living in Macomb County to provide a variety of supportive services.
