Home care services don’t have to take place at home! Our caregivers can help run errands and accompany you or your loved one to community events, CU games, church or synagogue, or hair and doctor’s appointments. Perhaps your loved one is a history buff and would want to visit the Boulder History Museum, tour the Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center, see a movie, or take advantage of local arts and crafts shops. For those who would rather stay near home, our caregivers can also help with home activities like scrapbooking, bingo, or assistance with gardening.
We are also actively involved with the Jean Griswold Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) private foundation established in 2010, which provides grants to select community programs that help people age in place. In 2019, we presented a $500 grant to TRU Community Care to help support its efforts to build raised garden beds for participants of TRU PACE – a program that provides seniors with comprehensive medical and social services so they can continue living safely in their communities. TRU is dedicated to transforming healthcare by offering innovative, meaningful services for those living with illness and loss, including hospice services, palliative care, support groups and education regarding end-of-life care.

“As the holiday season quickly approaches, many will struggle with increased feelings of loneliness – especially seniors, who spend more time alone than the average adult. This season, we encourage you to join our efforts by checking on your aging loved ones often.”
