Griswold Home Care has been working with other senior care professionals in our area to bring a local chapter of ACAPcommunity (Adult Children of Aging Parents) to our area to provide free programs on different topics of interest to adult caregivers. Although designed for adult children, ACAP programs are open to all family members, professionals and others who may be interested.

We are excited to announce that ACAP Cape Fear will launch its first monthly program for adult children of aging parents on September 13th! This program will be on Advanced Care Planning: Legal and financial documents everyone needs, presented by Jennifer Marshall Roden, J.D., CELA, Craige & Fox, PLLC.

All programs will start at 6 PM on the second Tuesday of each month and be held at the First Baptist Church Activities Center.

Future program topics include aging at home, holding difficult discussions with parents, dealing with dementia, and caring for caregivers.

You can learn more or join the ACAP email list to receive updates about ACAP Cape Fear at the ACAP Cape Fear web site.

If you are interested in attending our September 13th event in person, please register by emailing capefear@acapcommunity.org or calling 910-632-0347. Registering is not required but helpful for us to plan seating and refreshments.
