Overnight & 24/7 Care
We Will Always Be There for You & Your Loved One
Griswold Home Care wants to be there for you whenever you need us, even if those needs include overnight assistance or 24/7 care. During your consultation with a care coordinator, we’ll discuss your needs and the kind of care you’re looking for. We’ll then suggest what we believe is the best care option for you or your loved one. In some cases, we may recommend more extensive care around the clock to make sure you or your loved one is always taken care of. Overnight and 24/7 care are two options we offer seniors and adults with injuries, illnesses, dementia or disabilities.
What Is Overnight Care?
Overnight care is about knowing someone is there to help if a loved one needs fluids, snacks, or help using the restroom. It’s perfect for people who have trouble sleeping through the night or tend to wake up disoriented.
With overnight care, a caregiver comes by the house to provide a few hours of care before bed and in the morning, and remains at the house throughout that period. In addition to providing homemaking and companionship services, overnight caregivers can provide several personal care services, including:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Haircare
- Oral care
- Nail care
- Grooming
- Skincare
- General hygiene
- Perineal care
- Changing adult briefs
- Repositioning if bed-bound
- Supporting physical therapy exercise
- Restroom assistance
What is 24/7 Care?
Needing more support doesn’t have to mean leaving home. You might be helping mom or dad in their home and things have reached a point where they need more constant assistance. Or maybe you or a family member are having surgery and would rather recover at home. 24/7 care means that you have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your loved one is never alone.
If you are a family caregiver, you know that a poor night’s rest can affect health. 24/7 care is typically covered by a team of caregivers working 8 or 12-hour shifts to meet the needs of your loved one day and night.
